Revelation 12 concerns two wonders or signs in heaven. The first sign is a woman who gave birth to a child. “Unto us a child is born…” said Isaiah the prophet, speaking to Israel (Isaiah 9:1). The woman is the nation of Israel from whom Jesus Christ came.
The second sign is a great dragon – Satan – who wars against the woman and her child. He is a cruel adversary, but he cannot win nor destroy any who belong to Jesus Christ.
